Margaret R. Bedard, age 73, of Highland, died Saturday, May 19, 2018 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis.
Mrs. Bedard was born March 27, 1945 in Danville, a daughter of the late Donald and Rita, nee Kramer, Stack.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Mark Stack, Donna Stack, Barbara Boyd, Joseph Stack, Dennis Stack, Mary Stack, and John Stack.
Surviving are her children, Richard Bedard of Highland, Ann Daniels of Geneva, Karen (Paul) Auten of Yorkville, and Timothy (Jennifer) Bedard of Granite City; grandchildren, Brent (Yossett) Daniels, Shaina Daniels, Talan Daniels, and Jelaina Auten; great-grandchild, Sunnie Daniels; siblings, Theresa Oldham of Salem, Jerome (Gene) Stack of Kankakee, Stanley (Sharon) Stack of Belleville, and Thomas Stack of Dallas, TX; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Donna Stack, Shirley Stack, Patty Stack, Judy Stack, and Terry Boyd; and nieces and nephews;
Margaret worked as a Registered Nurse and retired from Anderson Hospital in Maryville. She was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese where she volunteered at the chicken dinners and rummage sale. Mrs. Bedard also volunteered at the library in Highland, helped teach religion class specifically how to say the Rosary, enjoyed her flower garden and took her dog Abby everywhere she went, but most of all spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese with Fr. Patrick Peter presiding. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Centralia.
A Rosary will begin at 8:30 a.m. for the family and public and the visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Breese,
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and will be received at the funeral home.
