Mary L. Peppenhorst, 54, of Breese, and formerly of Highland, died Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at her residence.

Mrs. Peppenhorst was born June 23, 1959 in Alton, IL to Verna (Heeren) O'Neal of Cottage Hills and the late Dennis C. O'Neal.

She married Ronald Peppenhorst on December 28, 1991 at Highland Community Church in Highland; he survives in Highland.

In addition to her mother and husband, she is also survived by her step-children, Tricia (Clent) Schulte of New Baden, Lauren (Jared) Langhauser of Aviston, and Todd Peppenhorst of Carlyle; her siblings, Dennis R. (Sharon) O'Neal of Godfrey, Beverly (Pete) Schram of LaBelle, FL, Linda (Melvin) Moore of Bethalto, Shirley (Don) Wells of Alexandria, KY, and Thomas (Theresa) O'Neal of Cottage Hills; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Robert Schuessler and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Anthony and Alvina (Pollmann) Peppenhorst.

Mary worked as a court reporter for Gore, Perry, & Lipa in St. Louis, MO and she was of the Christian Faith.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Cornerstone Assembly of God, 750 S. Moreland Rd., Bethalto, IL 62010 with Pastor Eric Scottberg officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery, Bethalto, IL.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 28, 2013 from 9:00-11:00AM at Cornerstone Assembly of God in Bethalto.

Memorials can be made to the Donor's choice and will be received at the church or through Moss Funeral Home in Breese who is in charge of the arrangements.
