Matthew A. “Mozie” Deien 43 of Breese died Monday January 1, 2013 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

He was born October 6, 1969 in Breese to Melvin and Janet (Heimann) Deien. His parents survive in Breese.

Preceded in death by grandparents William and Emma (Langenhorst) Heimann, George H. and LaVera ( Rolfingsmeyer) Deien.

Also surviving are his brothers Tim (Lucy) Deien of Breese, Steve (Carol) Deien of Aviston, Greg (Jackie) Deien of Aviston, Nathan (Julie) Deien of Highland.

6 nephews and 3 nieces, numoures friends and volunteers care givers.

Matthew worked at Community Link, he enjoyed camping at Camp New Hope, Du Bois Center, and active with Clinton County Recreation Association.

Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday January 5, 2012 at 10:00 AM at St. Augustine Catholic Church in B reese. Fr. Chuck Tuttle and Deacon Bob Lippert officiating. Interment St. Dominic St. Augustine Cemetery.

Visitaion Friday January 4, 4:00 to 8:00 pm and Saturday January 5 from 8:00 am to 9:30 AM at the Moss Funeral home in Breese.

Memorials can be made to St. Augustine Church, St. Dominic Church, or Mater Dei High School and will be received at the funeral home.
