    Maudie Lee Streetman, age 90, of Breese and formerly of Sikeston and St. Louis, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese.

     

    She was born November 28, 1935, in Kewanee, Missouri, a daughter of the late Tennie and Mary (nee Hastings) Hopper. Maudie married Eugene Streetman on January 10, 1959, in Memphis, Tennessee, and he preceded her in death on September 1, 2019.

     

    In addition to her parents and husband, Maudie was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Hopper.

     

    She is survived by her sons, Steve (Christy) Streetman of Croom, Maryland, and Greg (Monica) Streetman of Breese; grandchildren, Michael Streetman, Holly Streetman, Michelle (Joe) Dane, and Chris Streetman; great-grandchildren, Arthur and Corwin Dane; and siblings, Sue Hopper of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and Sam Hopper of Virginia.

     

    Maudie received her nursing degree and formerly worked in the St. Louis Public School System, where she developed the LPN Program. She was a former member of Fenton United Methodist Church. After retirement, she volunteered at St. Luke’s Hospital in St. Louis. Maudie enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

     

    Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Breese, with Deacon Glenn Netemeyer officiating. Interment will take place at a later date at Garden of Memories in Sikeston, Missouri.

     

    Visitation will be Wednesday, January 21, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Breese.

     

    In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association and will be received at the visitation or by mail at Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th St., Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
