Born on March 2, 1956, in Breese, Mike was the son of the late Joseph and Mildred (née Burger) Haar. On June 19, 2010, he married Linda Rakers-Holtgrave in Beckemeyer, and she survives in Beckemeyer.
In addition to his wife, Mike is survived by his children, Josh (Katrina) Haar of Beckemeyer and Jeremy (Gina) Haar of Aviston; step-daughters, Tammy (Kyle) Peters of Carlyle, Tracey (Brian) Hubbard of Carlyle, and Tiffany (Nick) Baker of Beckemeyer; and his cherished grandchildren, Ella and Abree Haar, Conlan and Braelyn Haar, Trey and Kylee Peters, Riley, Liam, and Mya Hubbard, Oliver, Lanny, and Nicky Baker.
He is also survived by his siblings, Josephine (Jack) Hogan of Arkansas, Darlene (friend Roy) Johnson of Beckemeyer, Danny (Lyn) Haar of Germantown, and Sharon (Mike) Peppenhorst of Beckemeyer; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Sandy (Dave) Jondro of Carlyle, Dennis (Shelley) Rakers of Beckemeyer, Nancy (Mark) Turner of Trenton, Tim Rakers of Beckemeyer, Rodney (Carie) Rakers of Beckemeyer, David (Cheryl) Rakers of Aviston, and Denise (Rodney) Hubbard of Carlyle; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Mike was a former salesman for Clinton Seamless Guttering and was well-known for mowing countless lawns around Beckemeyer. A member of the Central High School Hall of Fame and devoted Central Cougars sports fan, he enjoyed riding his golf cart through town, golfing in earlier years with Linda, and spending time with family and friends. His greatest joy came from attending his grandchildren’s school activities and sporting events.
An accomplished athlete in his youth, Mike excelled at baseball, earning induction into the Clinton County Baseball Hall of Fame. He played both Clinton County Baseball and Softball and was admired for his sportsmanship and skill. He shared a special bond with his nieces and nephews, and was honored to walk his niece Debbie Meyer down the aisle on her wedding day.
