    Nancy Jo Billhartz, nee Waldron, age 77, of Trenton, died Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Clinton Manor Living Center in New Baden.

     

    Mrs. Billhartz was born September 27, 1940 in E. St. Louis, a daughter of the late William and Evelyne, nee Alderman, Waldron.

     

    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Billhartz; a sister, Kathleen Razek; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Victor and Loretta, nee Schoendienst, Billhartz; a sister-in-law, Sandy Waldron; and brothers-in-law, Jerry Hodapp, Michael Bair, and Robert Foppe.

     

    She is survived by her husband Arnold “Roscoe” Billhartz of Trenton who she married August 3, 1963 at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church in Fairview Heights; daughters, Karin (John Crump) Jansen of Smithton, Kathryn (Michael) Jackson of Shiloh, and Kristine (Marty) Tebbe of St. Rose; 5 grandchildren, Meghan Jansen, Alison, Haley, and Abigail Tebbe, and Calista Jackson; siblings, Harland Waldron of Mascoutah, Maryann Hodapp of Salem, Patricia (Ed) Keany of San Anselmo, CA, and Maureen (Mark) Elbert of Troy; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Aly Razek of Florida, Victor (Martha) Billhartz of Bowling Green, KY, Elaine Foppe of Belleville, Alice (Melvin) Toennies of Damiansville, Loretta Bair of New Baden, Virginia (Tom) Oyen of Bellingham, WA and Teresa Gross of Corpus Christi, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.

     

    Nancy retired as a medical transcriptionist from St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese and was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese where she volunteered and the St. Joseph’s Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening and yardwork and was very particular.

     

    Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese with Fr. Patrick Peter and Deacon Linus Klostermann presiding. Interment will follow in St. Dominic/St. Augustine Cemetery in Breese.

     

    Visitation will be Wednesday, February 7, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and again on Thursday, February 8, 2018 from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Breese.

     

    Memorials may be made to the House of Manna or to her grandchildren’s education fund (checks may be made to Arnold Billhartz) and will be received at the funeral home.
