Norma M. Deiters, nee Scott, 86, of Trenton, died Monday, February 6, 2012 at Aviston Countryside Manor.

Mrs. Deiters was born January 5, 1926 in Trenton, IL to Clarence and Della (Gelly) Scott; they preceded her in death.

Also preceded in death by a daughter, Patti Lea; a son, Dennis Deiters; brothers, Clarence Scott, Jr. and Phillip Scott; and brothers-in-law, Archie Riggs and Tony Hanson.

She married Alvin “Woody” Deiters on November 8, 1947 at St. Mary’s Church, Trenton; he survives in Trenton.

Also surviving are her children, Don (Marge) Deiters of Trenton, David (Jane) Deiters of Grantfork, Carol Henderson of Caseyville, Merry Ericksen of Centralia, Mike (Tammy) Deiters of Trenton, and Lee (Kelly) Deiters of Albers; 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; a brother, Neville (Edith) Scott of Highland; sisters, Darline Hanson of Oklahoma City, OK and Lela Riggs of New Douglas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Norma was a homemaker.

A private family interment will take place in Trenton Cemetery, Trenton, IL

Memorials can be made to Heartland Hospice and will be received through Moss Funeral Home who is in charge of the arrangements.
