Patricia Ann Holsapple

Patricia Holsapple, 90, of Trenton, Illinois, born December 12, 1924 in Princeton, Illinois passed away Thursday, December 25, 2014 at St. Joseph Hospital in Highland, Illinois.

Mrs. Holsapple retired from Searle Pharmaceutical, Skokie, IL in 1987 where she worked as a secretary. She worked hard her whole life to provide for her family, often working two jobs. Pat was a voracious reader who loved playing cards and spending time with her family. She was very sharp, enjoyed texting and using her iPad.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence “Eddie” Holsapple whom she married in Chicago, IL in 1947 at St. Basil Catholic Church. He was called home way too early in July 1967. Also preceding her were her mother, Harriet Norman, nee Hamilton, her father, James Carroll; sister Mary Sue Catlett, brother Ralph Norman, sister-in-law, Phoebe Norman, and beloved cousin/sister Annette Hubbard.

Surviving are her children Mark (Kathy) Holsapple of Little Rock, Arkansas, Tracey (Dennis) Diekemper of Trenton, IL, six grandchildren: Kristen Holsapple, Patrick Holsapple, Nicholas Holsapple, Colleen Diekemper, Kelly (Adam) Baer, and Michael Diekemper.

Memorials can be made to the Trenton Library, Clinton County Humane Society, or Western Clinton County Senior Services.

A private Memorial Mass will be held.
