Patricia A. Gibbons, age 73, formerly of Breese, died Monday, December 24, 2018 at Swansea Care and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born October 21, 1945 in Peoria, a daughter of the late Ervin and Rose, nee Cassily, Fletcher.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Leonard “Lenny” Gibbons, whom she married April 21, 1978 in Belleville and he died April 13, 2017; step-father, John Woodburn; brother, Tim Woodburn; son, Lenny Gibbons, Jr.; and mother-in-law, Violet Gibbons.
Surviving are her children, John Leadlove, Karen Leadlove, Mechell McWherter, Bethany Sheppard all of Belleville, Anthony Leadlove of Collinsville, Mike Gibbons of Texas, Mary Kay Phelan of Florida, Sue (Scott) White of Alabama; 10 grandchildren & 5 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Julianna Brooks of Cadiz, KY; siblings, Tammy (Rick) Buckholz of Missouri, Greg (Melissa) Woodburn of St. Louis, Joe (Val) Woodburn of Maryland; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Lee Woodburn of New Mexico, Sherry Gibbons of Louisiana, and John Gibbons of St. Louis.
Pat worked several restaurant jobs in the area and was a homemaker.
A celebration of life service will be at a later date.
