Patricia J. “Pat” Fuehne, age 85, of Damiansville, passed away Monday February 2, 2026 at Cedarhurst of Breese. She was born April 26, 1940 in Breese, the daughter of the late Frank and Anna (nee Kruep) Henrichs. Pat married Arthur “Art” Fuehne on August 23, 1960 at St. Rose Catholic Church and he preceded her in death on August 18, 2009.
In addition to her parents and husband, Pat was preceded in death by her siblings, Gervase Henrichs, Mary Jane (Ralph) Von Bokel, and Roger Henrichs; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Martin and Emma (nee Rensing) Fuehne; and brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Art Rensing, Regina (Henry) Eversgerd, Clare (Norbert) Gebke, Erwin “Bud” Fuehne, Herbert (Helen) Fuehne, Viola (Dave) Litteken, and Linda (Dick) Kues.
Pat is survived by her children, Marvin (Donna) Fuehne of Damiansville, Sue (Al) Loepker of Albers, Roger (Charity) Fuehne of Xenia, and Paul (Melinda) Fuehne of Damiansville; grandchildren Lindsey (Robert) Mitchell, Crystal Fuehne, Shannon (Justin) Sanders, Michelle (Alex) Diekmann, Cambrin (Ryan) McAllister, Cal (Shelby) Loepker, Dylan Fuehne, Savannah Fuehne, Landen Fuehne, Brittany (Teddy) Bauer, Brandon Fuehne, Jacob (Ting) Fuehne; step-grandchildren John and Diana Nast; thirteen great-grandchildren; siblings, Ruth Ann Rensing of New Douglas and Jim (Carol) Henrichs of Highland; sisters-in-law, Dolores Henrichs and Lorraine Henrichs, both of St. Rose; and nieces and nephews.
Pat was a homemaker and farmer’s wife. She was a member of St. Damian Catholic Church and Altar Sodality, as well as the Red Hat Club. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking, occasional trips to the casino, and playing bingo. Recently she enjoyed activities at Cedarhurst and loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and receiving hugs from her great grandchildren.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday February 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Damian Catholic Church in Damiansville with Fr. Matt Elie presiding and Deacon Glenn Netemeyer assisting. Interment will follow at St. Damian Cemetery in Damiansville.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday February 4, 2026 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and again Thursday February 5, 2026 from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. at St. Damian Catholic Church in Damiansville.
In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to the St. Damian Church Building fund or St. Damian Cemetery and will be received at the visitation or by mail at Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th St., Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
