Patricia S. "Pat" Campbell, age 78, of Trenton, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2021 at HSHS St. Elizabeth's Hospital in O'Fallon.
She was born July 3, 1943 in New Bern, NC, a daughter of the late Alfred and Marie, nee Potter, Smith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Campbell, whom she married on June 12, 1964 in Macclenny, FL and who died on September 26, 2020; a sister, Cindy Harvey; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Lorena, nee Heuberger, Campbell.
Pat is survived by a son, Jeffery (Tammy) Campbell of Trenton; grandchildren, Maddie and Aaron Campbell; sister, Melody Victor of Macclenny, FL; brother, Al (Sharon) Smith, Jr. of Glen St Mary, FL; brother-in-law, Tom (Mary Jane) Campbell of Highland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pat worked in civil service at Scott Air Force Base and formerly worked at Wesclin Junior High School as a secretary. She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Trenton and also a member of the choir. She enjoyed playing the piano, being with her grandchildren, and spending time with her “girls’ group”.
Memorial Service will be at St. John United Church of Christ in Trenton on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Christy Eckert officiating.
Visitation will be at St. John United Church of Christ in Trenton on Saturday, July 31, 2021 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to St. John United Church of Christ and will be received at the church or by mail, Moss Funeral Home, 105 S. Main, Trenton, IL 62293.
