    Paul A. Quigley, SMSGT USAF, Ret., 73 of Trenton, died Thursday, August 22, 2013 at his residence.

    Mr. Quigley was born July 12, 1940 in Corning, NY to Henry and Marian (Nares) Quigley; they preceded him in death.

    Her married Juanita “Nita” Shaw on October 9, 1976; she preceded him in death on May 14, 2010.

    In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Eunice Bennett; and brothers, Thomas, John, Gary, and Herbert Quigley.

    Surviving are his sons, Paul (Denise) Quigley, Jr. of Dublin, Ireland and Michael (Jeanine) Quigley of Schererville, IN; step-children, Bradley (Debra) Cornell and Beth (Curt) Meredith all of Elburn; his special friend, Connie Morber of Campbell Hill; siblings, Fred Quigley of Charleston, SC, Nancy (Steven) Dah of Darien, Norma Quigley of Westmont, Hank Quigley of Gary, IN, and Margaret Quigley of California; honorary friend, Sherry (Ron) Deien of Trenton, and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law,

    Paul retired from the United States Air Force as a Senior Master Sergeant and he also worked as a teacher’s aide at Union Elementary School in Belleville.

    He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Trenton, Past Commander of the Trenton VFW Post 7983, Trenton Knights of Columbus Council 2932, Knights of Columbus 4th Degree Bishop Althoff Assembly, and was a former member of the American Legion in Crown Point, IN.

    Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, August 26 , 2013 at 10:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, Trenton with Fr. Joseph Rascher officiating. Interment with full military honors will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Trenton, IL

    Visitation will be Sunday, August 25, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and again on Monday, August 26, 2013 from 8:00 am to 9:45 am at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton.

    The Trenton VFW will hold services at 7:00 pm and Trenton Knights of Columbus and 4th Degree Bishop Althoff Assembly will hold services at 7:30 pm all Sunday evening at the funeral home.

    Memorials can be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or to the Multiple Sclerosis Society and will be received at the funeral home.
