Paul J. Kruep 84 of Breese died Friday May 20, 2016 at Breese Nursing Home.
He was born June 28, 1931 in Breese to Henry and Elizabeth (Richter) Kruep. They preceded him in death.
Also preceded in death by brothers Alvin, Wilbert, and Joseph Kruep. Sisters Marie Kruep and Betty Hilmes. Brother-in-law Paul Richter, sisters-in-law Dolores Kruep, Mildred Kruep, Florence Kruep, Gertrude Kruep.
He married Dora Glaub October 16, 1958 at St. Dominic Church in Breese and she survives.
Also surviving are his children Tom (Cathy) Kruep of Golconda, David (Monica) Kruep of Breese, William (friend Vicki) Kruep of Carlyle, Debra (Chuck) Goedeke of Breese, Annette (Gene) Tebbe of Breese, Mike (Rene) Kruep of Breese
23 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren

Sisters Agnes (Robert) Glaub of Breese, Martha Richter of Breese
Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Richard Hilmes of St. Louis, MO, Kathy (Stan) Holtgrave of Breese, Joanie (Blain) Essenpreis of Breese.
Paul retired from Granite City Steel. Paul loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, He also enjoyed fishing, camping and gardening.
Member of St. Dominic Catholic Church, Breese. American Legion post 252, Breese.
Funeral mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday May 24, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Dominic Catholic Church, Breese. Fr. Patrick Peter and Deacon Linus Klostermann officiating. Interment St. Dominic-St. Augustine Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday May 23 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Tuesday May 24 from 9 to 10:45 AM at Moss Funeral Home in Breese.
Members of the American Legion will hold services at 7:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to St. Dominic Catholic Church, All Saints Academy or Mater Dei high School and will be received at the funeral home.
