      Real L. Levesque, age 99, of Trenton, IL and formerly of East Berne, NY and Zephyrhills, FL, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.


      He was born May 4, 1923 in Quebec, Canada, a son of the late Charles and Rose, nee Lizotte, Levesque.


      In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Gilbert, Leopold, Fernando, Charles, Gilles, and Rita Levesque.


      Real is survived by his wife Jean Levesque, nee Ortado, of Trenton, IL whom he married February 11, 1956 in Richmond Hill, NY; children, Denise Baker of Trenton, IL, Diane (Frank) Kopecki of Schenectady, NY, Geri Levesque of Anaheim, CA, Robert (Melissa) Levesque of Garden Ridge, TX, and Jeannine (Mark) Huegen of Trenton, IL; grandchildren, Shaun (Heather) Sullivan, David (Robbi) Sullivan, Nicholas (Kasey) Baker, Jeff (Polly) Edwards, Brian Edwards, Allison Levesque, Robert Holtz , Jennifer (John) Seely, and Ashley Huegen; great-grandchildren, Seth and Brady Sullivan, Ryan, Jacob and Everett Sullivan, Aubree and Emery Baker, Emma Edwards, and Bennett Seely; sisters, Cecile Beaulieu and Marie-Berthe Cote; and many nieces and nephews.


      Real grew up in Canada working on the family farm and later worked as a Union Carpenter for 20 years, then at General Electric for 10 years, and after moving to Florida he enjoyed working at the Saddlebrook Golf Club for 20 years.  In his free time, he enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, camping, and gardening.  His greatest love was spending time with his family.


      Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, June 16, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. George Catholic Church in New Baden with Fr. Gene Neff presiding.
