Richard T. Schumacher 82 of St. Rose died Saturday July 20, 2013 at his residence.

He was born December 12, 1930 in St. Rose to Theodore and Emma (Buehne) Schumacher: they preceded him in death.

Also preceded in death by a brother Francis Schumacher, father and mother-in-law Alvin and Hermina Rosen, brothers-in-law Daniel Rosen Tom Rosen, Ray Toennies.

He married Ruth Rosen June 14, 1960 at St. Rose Church and she survives.

Also surviving are his daughters Barb (Larry) Harrison of St. Rose, Karen (Stan) Frey of Highland, Janet (Craig) Taylor of St. Rose, Jeannie (Harold) Schellenger of St. Rose, Lynn Schumacher of Carlyle.

10 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren 11 step great grandchildren, 3 step great great grandchildren.

Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Jane (Rich) Baum of Rockdale, Bob (Ruth) Rosen of Breese, Marilyn (friend John Bowen) Toennies of Breese, Rita (Elmer) Montgomery of Louisiana, Phyllis Rosen of Bartelso, Jim (Virginia) Rosen of St. Rose, Carl (Carleen) Rosen of St. Rosen.

Richard was a retired dairy and grain farmer.

Member of St. Rose Catholic Church and Men’s Sodality, St. Rose Development Club, Clinton County Farm Bureau.

Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday July 23, 2013 at 1:00 PM on Tuesday July 23 at 1:00 Pm at St. Rose Catholic Church in St. Rose with Fr. Edward Schaefer officiating. Interment St. Rose Cemtery.

Visitation will be Monday July 22, 5:00 to 9:00 PM and Tuesday July 23, from 11:00 to 12:30 PM at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese.

Memorials can be made to St. Rose Church or Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be received at the funeral home
