Ronald E. Kiffmeyer, 91, of Lowell, AR, born January 16, 1926 in Trenton, IL to the late Edward and Lillian, nee Ritzheimer, Kiffmeyer, died Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at his home.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife Patsy, nee Larson, Kiffmeyer, whom he married May 1, 1954 in Downers Grove, IL and she died December 17, 2003; a son, Thomas Kiffmeyer; and special friend, Beryl Simpson.
Surviving is a sister, Carol Kiefer of Sarasota, FL; and a niece, Kathleen Babcock.
Mr. Kiffmeyer graduated Trenton High School; retired from General Motors Electric Locomotive Division after 31 years as a parts assembly and machine operator and retired to northwest Arkansas in 1987. He enjoyed exploring Arkansas, the outdoors and traveling; he was active at the Springdale Senior Center.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, January 23, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Trenton with Fr. Joseph Rascher presiding. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Trenton.
Visitation will be Monday, January 23, 2017 from 9:30-10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Trenton.
Memorials may be made to the Shriner’s and will be received at the church or Moss Funeral Home, 105 S. Main, Trenton, IL 62293 who is serving the family.
