Roxie Faye Williams, nee Johnston, 86, of Trenton, died Saturday, December 14, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese.

She was born February 3, 1927 in McCleansboro, IL.

Mrs. Williams was a Civil Service worker at Scott Air Force Base, and worked at the shoe factory in Mt Vernon.

She was a member of the West Gate Baptist Church in Trenton.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert W. “Bob” Williams, whom she married October 16, 1945 in Lincoln NE. She was also preceded in death by her parents Lee and Letha (Oneil) Johnston, a sister Charlotte Garrison, brothers Newton Johnston and Eugene Becker.

Roxie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and, activities at the Trenton Nutrition center and playing the piano at her church.

Surviving are her daughter Cherolyn Williams of Vero Beach, FL, and her son Michael (Joy) Williams Sr. of Bethany, IL.

6 grandchildren Melissa (Matt) Streif, Michael (Judi) Williams Jr., Kiel (April) Cummings, Hilary Williams, Macy (Chris) Lee, Dylan Williams.

5 great grandchildren Neenah Williams, Alayna Streif, Dawson Lee, Miles Cummings, Amilya Streif.

Brother Ernie (Eflene) Johnston.

Sisters Verla Grammer, Gayla Sue (Lonnie) Lane.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 10:00 am at West Gate Baptist Church in Trenton with Rev. Paul Hooks officiating. Interment will be in Kirk Cemetery, Ina, IL.

Visitation will be Monday, December 16, 2013 from 5:00-8:00 pm and again on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 from 9:00-9:45 am at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton.

Memorials can be made to Westgate Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society and will be received at the funeral home
