    Scott W. Waelde, known to many as “Little C” or “Pappa Scotty”, age 60, of New Baden, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at his home.

     

    He was born January 31, 1962 in Chicago, a son of the late Leonard Waelde and Sandra Ann, nee Bojak, Wagner.

     

    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Joseph Wagner; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Murle and Edith, nee Gregory, Baugh; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bob Ward and Betty Baugh.

     

    Scott is survived by his wife, Violet Waelde, nee Baugh, of New Baden, whom he married October 29, 2010 in Belleville; sons, Timothy (Tayona Shortridge-Baugh) Baugh of Dupo and Cameron Fleming of Portland, OR; grandchildren, Ben (Faith) Tall, Emily Baugh, Nadalie Baugh, and Timothy Baugh Jr.; great-grandson, Oden Rockwell; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Sue Singler of Granite City, Eddy (Donna) Baugh of Greenville, Jessie Ward of Vandalia, Joey Baugh of Greenville, Kathy (Rick) Cendekowitsch of Fenton, MO, Twila (Chris) Gagne of Texas, Nancy Hedrick of Fairview Heights, and Lillie Baugh of Granite City; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

     

    Scott formerly worked as a Teamster for Airgas.  He was a sports collector and avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, Bears, Blackhawks, and Bulls Sports Teams.

     

    Funeral Service will be Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Trenton with Fr. Gene Neff officiating.  Interment will follow at Green Mount Cemetery in New Baden.

     

    Visitation will be Saturday, September 17, 2022 from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Trenton.

     

    In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to the wishes of the family (checks payable to Violet Waelde) and will be received at the visitation or by mail, Moss Funeral Home, 105 S. Main St. Trenton, IL 62293, who is serving the family.
