- Full Obituary
Tiffany LeeAnn “Tuffy” Keene, age 36, of the Clinton County area, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at her home. She was born on May 6, 1989, in Okinawa, Japan, the beloved daughter of Curtis Keene of Seligman, MO, and Christina (Richard) Leatherman (née Williams) of Benton, KS.
Tiffany was the loving partner of Brandon Schrage, and together they poured their hearts into family life with his two sons, Brantley and Brody, whom she adored.
In addition to her parents, Tiffany is survived by her bonus mother, Tamie Keene of Mascoutah; her siblings, Tricia L. Keene of Tampa, FL, Trevor L. Keene of Germantown, and Tia L. Keene of Bozeman, MT; step-brother, Eric (Deanna) Leatherman of Wichita, KS; step-sisters, Shauna (Drew) Anderson of Wichita, KS, and Tiffany (Shane) Bradtmueller of Derby, KS. She is also survived by her cherished nephew and niece, Kelahni Harriel and Rhyatt Taylor-Keene; her grandparents, Leona Keene of Seligman, MO, Candy Williams of Bella Vista, AR, Michael Ware of Mesa, AZ, and Dave and Margaret Fiyak of Fort White, FL; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends who were like family.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Alicia Ann Keene, and her grandparents, Billie Wess Keene, Larry Williams, and Freda Plumb.
A 2007 graduate of Central Community High School in Breese, IL, Tiffany later attended McKendree University in Lebanon. She was the business partner and Chief Financial Officer of Recoil, LLC, an outdoor shooting-range remediation company, where she brought determination, skill, and passion to her work.
Tiffany lived life with an authenticity that drew people to her. With her “just be yourself” spirit, she was a burst of energy—known affectionately as a firecracker—and she embraced every moment with enthusiasm. She loved time spent with Brandon, Brantley, and Brody, as well as with her family. She enjoyed riding her mule, raising her miniature donkey Bronx, and doting on her beloved dog Fred. Tuesday night bingo in Hoffman was a weekly highlight, as was cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals—especially her favorite player, Yadier Molina. She was also well-known for her unforgettable dance moves and her wonderfully awkward Rock Band drumming sessions that never failed to bring laughter.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Breese American Legion, 575 N. Main St., Breese, IL 62230, followed by a Celebration of Life Ceremony at 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to a fund for Brantley and Brody Schrage (checks payable to Trevor Keene). Contributions will be received at the Breese American Legion or by mail at Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th St., Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
