    Tina A. Donnewald, age 63, of Breese, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at St. Louis University Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 7, 1962, in Breese, the daughter of the late Robert "Bob" and Kathryn "Toots" (nee Hummert) Timmermann. On June 6, 1987, she married Bob Donnewald at St. Dominic Catholic Church, and he survives in Breese.

     

    In addition to her husband Bob, Tina is survived by her children: Josh (Maddie Timmermann) Donnewald of Breese, Katelyn (Matt) Palm of Breese, Robbie (Emily) Donnewald of Highland, and Lauren (Zach) Haake of Breese. She was a devoted grandmother to Lincoln and Graham Palm and eagerly anticipated the birth of her third grandchild. She is also survived by her siblings: Susie (Dale) Hempen of Breese, Jeff (Donna) Timmermann of Albers, and Bobby (Enya) Timmermann of Edwardsville; her mother-in-law, Alvina (nee Bergmann) Donnewald of Carlyle; and her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Jean (Kevin) Howe of Chesterfield, MO, Mike (Brandy) Donnewald of Aviston, and Mary Ann (Mike) Liut of Franklin, MI. She will be dearly missed by her numerous nieces and nephews.

     

    Tina was preceded in death by her parents and her father-in-law, Raymond "Bud" Donnewald.

     

    A graduate of Mater Dei Catholic High School and Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville, Tina earned her nursing degree and devoted her career to hospice care. As a dedicated nurse for Residential Hospice, she provided unwavering compassion, comfort, and dignity to her patients. She treated every individual she cared for like family, ensuring they were met with kindness and grace in their final moments. Her selflessness, strength, and dedication touched countless lives, bringing light and hope to those in need. Tina was truly extraordinary, an angel in scrubs whose warmth and love made an immeasurable impact.

     

    Tina was a faithful member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese. She cherished every moment spent with her husband, children, and grandchildren and looked forward to Sunday meals with her family. She also had a love for Budweiser and daily Ski’s and shared a special bond with her closest friends, affectionately known as the "Ya-Ya’s." She also enjoyed her time with the Breese 50 Club and the CC Buds Golf Team.

     

    Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, February 17, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese with Fr. George Mauck and Fr. James Buerster concelebrating. Interment will follow at St. Dominic-St. Augustine Cemetery in Breese.

     

    Visitation will be Sunday, February 16, 2025, from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. and again Monday, February 17, 2025, from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese. Due to the anticipated large crowd, the Donnewald family is asking everybody to please keep their visit brief.
