Venetta E. Robben

        Venetta E. Robben, age 93, of Trenton passed away peacefully with her loving daughter by her side on Monday, December 11, 2023 at HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese.

         

        She was born January 27, 1930 in Trenton, a daughter of the late Vinnue “Weiners” and Bertha, nee Ritzheimer, Malare.  She married Herman J. Robben on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 1953 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Trenton and he preceded her in death on February 17, 2015.

         

        Venetta was a lifelong member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Trenton.  She was a homemaker who found joy in planting flowers and landscaping in her yard.  Venetta and her husband, Herman, would spend hours working on projects together.  She followed St. Louis Cardinals Baseball and loved watching Purdue Basketball.  She also found great joy in spending time with her daughter, Tina, and granddaughter, Natalie Rose.

         

        Venetta is survived by her daughter, Tina (Richard) Noffke of Trenton; granddaughter, Natalie Rose Noffke of Trenton; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Betty Robben of Breese, Leonard (Jeanette) Robben, Carolyn Robben, and Marlene Robben, all of Germantown; and many dear nieces and nephews.

         

        In addition to her parents and husband, Venetta was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Herman and Clara, nee Duepmann, Robben; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tom Robben, Harold Robben, Jim Robben, Betty (Frank) Schoendienst, Vivian (Norbert “Peanuts”) Hedtkamp, Richard Robben, and William “Billy” Robben.

         

        As per Venetta’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and a private family service will be held at Moss Funeral Home at a later date.

         

        Memorials may be made to a charity or cause of the donor’s choice and will be received at the visitation or by mail, Moss Funeral Home, 105 S. Main St. Trenton, IL 62293, who is serving the family.
