    Vincent J. Albers 80 of Germantown died Saturday September 14, 2013 at his residence.

    He was born January 15, 1933 in Bartelso to Vincent W. and Catherine (Winter) Albers: they preceded him in death.

    Also preceded in death by a brother Harold Albers, a sister Adele Albers, brothers-in-law Lawrence Becker, Clarence Haake, August Lampe, Fr. Alvin Grawe, Frank “Lefty” Grawe, Gene Grawe, Bernard Loepker, sisters-in-law Mildred Loepker, Marian Grawe.

    He married Ethel Grawe April 16, 1958 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Bartelso and she survives in Germantown.

    Also surviving are her children Gerald V. (Sherri) Albers of Dallas TX, Jacinta Albers of Belleville, Patrick (Linda) Albers of Belleville, Kenneth (Tammy) Albers of Germantown, Joseph (Gwen) Albers of Germantown, Marla Albers of Belleville.

    13 grandchildren Scott (Darla) Kendall, Michael Albers, Heather (Josh) Schniers, Melanie, Riley, Justin, Jacob, Aubrey, Aleisha, Haley, Hannah, Ethan, Evan Albers

    2 great grandchildren Gavin, Ambrea Schniers

    Brother and sisters Maurice (Rita) Albers of Germantown, Gertrude Becker of Bartelso, Elizabeth Haake of Belleville, Dolores Lampe of Germantown, Marie (Virgil) Gebke of Germantown.

    Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Dolores “Blondie” (Hank) Kreke of Bartelso, Don (Betty) Grawe of Carlyle, Betty Breiner of Trenton, Jerry (Mary) Grawe of Bartelso, Mary Becker of Beckemeyer.

    Vince was retired Rural Route mail carrier and livestock and grain farmer, and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

    Member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Germantown, Breese Knights of Columbus Council # 2869, Bishop Althoff 4th Degree Assembly, Germantown American Legion Post 325.

    Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday September 17, 2013 at 10:00 am at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown with Fr. James Buerster and Deacon Rich Bagby officiating. Interment St. Boniface Cemetery, Germantown.

    Visitation will be Monday September 16 from 4 to 8 PM and Tuesday September 17, 8:00 to 9:45 am at St. Boniface Church in Germantown.

    American Legion Services Monday 7 PM followed by Knights of Columbus services, Bishop Althoff 4 th degree services at 8 pm all services are at the church.

    Memorials can be made to the wishes of the family and will be received at the church or through Moss Funeral Home, Germantown who is handling the arrangements
