Virginia L. Kimme, nee Hagen, 92, of Trenton, died Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at her residence at Trenton Village.
Mrs. Kimme was born September 3, 1922 in E. St. Louis to Lee and Marie (Zimmer) Hagen; they preceded her in death.
She married Hughie Kimme on March 29, 1943 in Honolulu, HI; he preceded her in death on January 11, 2005.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Gloria Kimme; and a sister, Rosemary “Tootie” Schroll.
Surviving are her children, Daniel (fiancée Dawn Davis) Kimme of Belleville, Bruce (Christi) Kimme of Prosper, TX, Becky (Alan) Tabor) of Pawnee, and Dale (Deanne) Kimme of Highland; and 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Virginia was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Trenton. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards, especially pinochle.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, September 12, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Trenton with Fr. Gene Neff officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Trenton.
Visitation will be Friday, September 12, 2014 from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Trenton.
Memorials can be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church and will be received at the church or through Moss Funeral Home, 105 S. Main, Trenton, IL 62293 who is in charge of the arrangements.
