Wilfred “Bud” Witt

Wilfred O. "Bud" Witt, age 87 of Trenton, died Thursday, March 19, 2015 at the Relais Bonne Eau Hospice Home in Edwardsville, IL.

Mr. Witt was born October 25, 1927 in Trenton to Oliver and Ida, nee Hoffman, Witt; they preceded him in death.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Harold Witt; sisters, Arline Wilburn and her husband John and Dolores "Maisie" Satterfield and her husband Charles; and a great-niece Kayla Satterfield.

Surviving is an aunt, Clara Ballard of New Baden; nephews and nieces, Larry Satterfield and wife Phyllis of New Baden, Jack Satterfield and friend Karen Isaak of Carlyle, Linda Roeber and husband Robert of New Baden, Jon Wilburn of Berea, KY, and Philip Wilburn and wife Deb of Trenton; his special friend, Jean Koch of Trenton; and great-nephews and great-nieces.

Bud retired from the State of Illinois Sign Maintenance Department and he enjoyed fishing.

He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the Trenton VFW Post 7983.

Funeral Service will be Sunday, March 22, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton with Rev. Mike Rucker officiating. Interment will follow in Trenton Cemetery, Trenton, IL.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 22, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to the time of services on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton.

Memorials can be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be received at the funeral home.
