    Wilhelmine “Wilma” B. Schroeder, 91, of Bartelso, died Sunday, May 19, 2013 at her home with her family by her side. Wilhelmine was born March 1, 1922 in Bartelso, the daughter of William and Louise (Bach) Ripperda. Wilhelmine married Alvin F. Schroeder on August 6, 1946 in St. Rose and he survives.
    Wilhelmine was a homemaker, who loved sewing for her children and grandchildren as they were growing up. In her retirement years, Wilhelmine enjoyed making quilts for her family, friends and the St. Cecilia quilt bingos. She also loved playing cards and bingo, making pies and being with her family. Wilhelmine was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Bartelso and its Altar Sodality, and was also a Eucharistic Minister and belonged to the church choir for many years. She was also a member of the Trenton VFW Auxiliary and Bartelso American Legion Auxiliary.
    Wilhelmine is survived by her six children: Barbara (Jim) Robke and David (Cathie) Schroeder, all of Aviston, Patricia Albers of New Baden, Mary Lou (Paul) Sutphin of Belleville, Sharon (Ken) Albers of Germantown, and Susan (Bob) Hoff of O’Fallon; fourteen grandchildren: Mike (Sharon) Robke, Lynn (Mike) Mallott, Cheryl (Tim) Heath, Angie (Terry) Becherer, Mark Albers, Robyn (Brian) Friederich, Clint (Chrissie) Albers, Kathleen (Polly Johnston) Wildhaber, Keith Wildhaber, Raquel (Craig) Koerkenmeier, Jared (Lisa) Schroeder, Elizabeth (Ryan Thole) Schroeder, Alicia (David) Hobart and Ryan (Katie) Johnson; one step-grandchild: Katie Hoff; seventeen great-grandchildren: Kaley and Tyler Robke, Cheyenne and Todd Heath, Garrett and Abby Becherer, Claire and Cami Friederich, Laney and Brandon Albers, Allison and Jacob Koerkenmeier, Lacey and Sophie Schroeder, Shawn (Audrey) Noel and Lindsey and Brett Yearian; one step-great-grandchild: Amanda Bobby; and one step-great-great-grandchild: Ethan Bobby; three sisters: Catherine Buscher of Aviston, Mary Ann Brueggemann of Belleville and Josephine Hood of Troy; one brother: Jerome Ripperda of Quincy; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Janet Ripperda and Elinor Ripperda, both of Highland, Margaret Ripperda of Pocahontas, Frank and Agnes Schroeder of Bartelso and Cletus, Dorothy and Joanie Schroeder, all of Germantown.
    She was preceded in death by two grandchildren: Todd Robke and Rhonda Albers; step-grandchild: Keli Hoff; brothers: Alphonse, Vincent, John, Raymond, Edward, Joseph and Clarence Ripperda; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Alex Hood, Herman Buscher, Ruth and Virginia Ripperda, Henry and Alvina Heet, Arthur and Cornelia “Babe” Schomaker, Oscar and Frances Wiecking, Bernie Perr, Henry and Laurentine Koczur and Dolores, Edward and Henry Schroeder.
    Funeral mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Bartelso with Fr. Henry Fischer and Fr. James Buerster officiating. Interment will follow in St. Cecilia Cemetery, Bartelso.
    Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Moss Funeral Home in Germantown.
    Memorials can be made to St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church or to the donor’s choice and will be received at the funeral home.
