Teddy L. Long, 61, of Aviston and formerly of Trenton, died Monday, September 24, 2012 at his residence.
Mr. Long was born October 3, 1950 in Jacksonville, IL to Theodore and Coy (Smith) Long; they preceded him in death.
He was formerly married to Nancy Wagoner and has two surviving children, Kelly (Chris) Jackson of Denver, CO and Matt (Dr. Stephanie, DDS) Long of Trenton; a granddaughter, Hadley Jackson; a brother, Philip (Janet) Long of Clay Center, KS; sisters, Phyllis Long of Carlinville and Georgia Long of Springfield; and his longtime caretaker and friend, Teresa Westerman of Trenton.
Teddy was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War and formerly worked at Laclede Steel Co. in Alton and as a maintenance supervisor and EMT for Monterey Coal Co. in Albers.
He was a member of the National Rifle Association, a Hamm Radio Operator, and a former member of the Trenton Emergency Services and Disaster Agency.
Funeral Services will be Monday, October 1, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton with Pastor Larry Griffith officiating. A private interment with full military honors will take place at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 30, 2012 from 4:00-8:00 PM and again on Monday, October 1, 2012 from 10:00-11:00 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton.
Memorials can be made to the Wounded Warriors or to the Disabled Veterans and will be received at the funeral home.

Rena Lee Bergmann 74 of Germantown died Sunday September 16, 2012 at St. Joseph Hospital in Breese.
