Johanna M. Furtwengler, nee Horstmann, age 90 of Breese, born February 2, 1925 in Wade Twp., a daughter of Herman and Katherine, nee Rohr, Horstmann, died Monday, October 12, 2015 at Breese Nursing Home.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Furtwengler, whom she married September 11, 1946 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Beckemeyer and he died March 19, 2002; a son, Doug Furtwengler; a brother, Charles Horstmann; a sister, Florence Weh; and a sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Bertha Horstmann, Harold Weh, and Elmer “Emmie” Deien.

Surviving are her sons, Dale Furtwengler and wife Charlotte of St. Louis, MO and Don Furtwengler and wife Gloria of Petersburg; a daughter-in-law Phyllis Furtwengler of O’Fallon, MO; 2 grandchildren, Dan Furtwengler and wife Julie and Adam Furtwengler and wife Cara; 4 great-grandchildren, Morgan, Johanna, Claire and William; and a sister, Ruth Deien of Breese.

Johanna was a homemaker, a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Breese, and she enjoyed playing cards.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, October 16, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Breese with Fr. Chuck Tuttle officiating. Interment will follow in St. Dominic/St. Augustine Cemetery, Breese.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 15, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and again on Friday, October 16, 2015 from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese.

Memorials can be made to St. Augustine Catholic Church and will be received at the funeral home.

Judy M. Ottensmeier, nee Wuebbels, age 58 of Trenton, born February 20, 1957 in Belleville, a daughter of Robert and Patricia, nee Knoth, Wuebbels, died Sunday, October 11, 2015 near Trenton.

Judy received her Associate Degree in Nursing from Kaskaskia College and was the Director of Nursing at Breese Nursing Home. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Trenton, participated in Girls on the Run, and was an instructor for Trenton Kids to the Rescue. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving is her husband, Carl Ottensmeier, whom she married February 21, 1998 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Aviston; her children, Chris Wagoner, Nick Ottensmeier, and Emily Ottensmeier all of Trenton; 2 grandsons, Colsen and Levi Wagoner; her mother, Patricia Ann Albers of Freeburg; her siblings, Cheri Albers and husband Ron of Trenton, Steve Wuebbels, and Peggy Staley and husband Dale of Okawville; her step-mother, Olive Wuebbels of New Baden; step-brothers and step-sisters, Bonnie Vielweber and husband Dennis of Freeburg, Ron Albers of Aviston, Stan Haar and wife Pat of Fairview Heights, and Tina Litteken and husband Chuck of Trenton; her mother-in-law, Rita Ottensmeier of Trenton; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gerry Ottensmeier and wife Lori of Trenton, Ron Ottensmeier and wife Terri of Aviston, Roger Ottensmeier and wife Kristie of Trenton, Beth Ann Neudecker and husband Bob of St. Peters, MO, and Nancy Long and husband Mark McClain of Eaton, CO; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Judy was preceded in death by her first husband, Steve Wagoner, whom she married August 7, 1976 at St. George Catholic Church in New Baden, and he died January 24, 1992; her father, Robert Wuebbels, step-father, Gene Albers; a brother-in-law, Brad Kehrer; her father-in-law, Marcellus Ottensmeier, and her former father-in-law and mother-in-law, Donald and Betty Wagoner.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Trenton with Fr. Joseph Rascher officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Trenton.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 14, 2015 from 4:00-9:00 p.m. and again on Thursday, October 15, 2015 from 8:00-9:30 a.m. at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton.

Memorials can be made to her Children’s Education fund or to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be received at the funeral home.

Dana Ranae Beach, age 42 of Nashville and formerly of Bartelso, born November 3, 1972 in Belleville, a daughter of William and Patricia Ann, nee Albers, Beach, died Thursday, October 1, 2015 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Belleville.

Dana was a member of the Catholic Faith and she loved spending time with her nieces and nephew, watching NASCAR, shopping, listening to country music and going to concerts. She also received several medals while competing on the balance beam in the Special Olympics.

Surviving are her parents, William and Patricia Ann Beach of Oakdale; a brother, Clinton Beach and wife Kristie of Breese; a sister, Ashley Beach of O’Fallon, MO; nephew and nieces, Trevor Jansen, Willow Toennies, and Kinsley Beach; uncles and aunts, Donald Albers and wife Cindy of Chicago, Allen Albers and wife Madonna, LouAnn Albers-Beckmann, LeaAnn Albers all of Germantown, and Linda McFain and husband Terry of Pocahontas; and several cousins.

Dana was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Virgil H. and Helen, nee Matthews, Albers and Bernice, nee Diesen, Albers; and her paternal grandparents, James Gordon and Ellen Louise, nee Petersen, Beach.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown with Fr. James Buerster and Deacon Rich Bagby officiating. Interment will follow in St. Boniface Cemetery, Germantown.

Visitation will be Monday, October 5, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at the Moss Funeral Home in Germantown.

Marcella A. Ortmann (Nee Peek) 91 of Germantown died Tuesday September 29, 2015 at Countryside Manor in Aviston.

She was born June 14, 1924 in Aviston to Bernard and Katherine (Wellen) Peek: they preceded her in death.

She married Vincent Ortmann September 3, 1947 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Aviston and he preceded her in death June 19, 2004.

Mass of Christian burial will be Friday October 2, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown. Fr. James Buerster and Deacon Rich Bagby officiating. Interment St. Boniface Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday October 1 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Friday October 2 from 8:00 to 9:45 a.m. at the Moss Funeral Home in Germantown.

Germantown American Legion Auxiliary Services will be held on Thursday during the visitation at 7:00 P.M. followed by Clinton County Chapter of the Vietnam Veterans at the funeral home

Ernest B. “Ernie” Ades 66 of Germantown died Saturday September 26, 2015 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born July 19, 1949 in Breese to Ernest A. and Marcella (Diesen) Ades: they preceded him in death.

Also preceded in death by a brother Dale Ades, father-in-law and mother-in-law Eddie and Marie Calliott, niece Kristy Kuper, brothers-in-law Marvin Jansen and John Calliott.

He married Mary Calliott January 17, 1970 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown and she survives.

Also surviving are his children Jennifer (John) Arentsen of Germantown, Cheryl (Brett) Moss of Breese, Dale Ades of Germantown.

3 grandchildren Noah Arentsen, Keegan and Conner Ades.

Ernie retired from Lucent Tech. Inc in Ballwin, MO He loved spending time with his grandsons, and enjoyed golfing and gardening.

Lee M. Hoh 55 of Farina and formerly of Bartelso died Thursday September 245, 2015 at his residence.

He was born July 20, 1960 in Breese to Leroy and Ruth Ann “Tootsie” (Wilken) Hoh: they survive in Bartelso.

Also surviving are his brothers and sisters Jan (friend Mike Schreiber) Luebbers of Breese, Jeff “Snickers” Hoh of Sesser, Beth Busch of Breese, Alan (Melissa) Hoh of Irvington, Jackie (Darrel) Thole of Aviston.

9 nieces and nephews 1 great niece and 1 great nephew, aunts, uncles and cousin.

He was preceded in death by a sister Kimberly Ann Hoh, maternal grandparents Alphonse and Margaret Wilken, paternal grandparents Harry and Cecilia Hoh, a great nephew Caide Brown, a brother-in-law Dave Luebbers.

Lee worked at Alton Belle Casino as bartender, he enjoyed flower gardening, flea markets and auctions, and traveling to Pensacola Fl.

Visitation will be Sunday September 27, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. and Monday September 28 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Moss Funeral Home in Germantown.
