Lucas Frederick Johnson

Lucas Frederick Johnson, infant son of Martin, Jr. and Kristie (Olliges) Johnson of Breese, was born and died on Friday, July 27, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese.

In addition to his parents, he is also survived by his siblings, Logan, Kyler, and Emma Johnson; maternal grandparents, Fred and Ann (Koerkenmeier) Olliges of Breese; paternal grandmother, Millie (Kohrs) Johnson of Breese; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Martin Johnson, Sr.

A private graveside service was held on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at St. Dominic/St. Augustine Cemetery, Breese. Fr. Chuck Tuttle and Fr. Patrick Peter presided.

Mary O. Williams

Mary Olive Williams left her earthly home to reunite with her Heavenly Father on July 26 2012.

Mary was a loving and devoted wife to SSgt. Stanley Earl Williams, Sr.; he preceded her in death.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Trenton.

Mary is best remembered for her ever present smile and positive attitude. She was a great cook, loved gardening, sewing, crafting and reading. Her faith in God enabled her to be the very best she could be. She was active in her community and was the librarian at Trenton Library for over 20 years, Member of Eastern Star, NCO Wife of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Moose Member Chapter 392, Girl Scout Leader, Sunday School Teacher, taught youth Choir, Past President of UMW, but regardless of her achievements she felt her greatest achievement was being a Mother and Grandmother.

She was Mother to Marianne (Steve), Joan (Carl), Brenda (Wayne), Stanley (Brigitte) Darlene (Pete), Patricia (Gary), Grandmother to 17 grandchildren, Great-Grandmother to 30; and Great-Great Grandmother to 2; and sister to Helen Gianoudis and Donald (Alice) Birdsall.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at 11:30 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton with Pastor Michael Rucker officiating. Interment will follow in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, ST. Louis, MO.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 31, 2012 from 9:30-11:30 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton.

Loretta H. “Toots” Schoendienst

Loretta H. “Toots” Schoendienst, nee Hermeling, 83, of Germantown, died Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Aviston Countryside Manor.

Mrs. Schoendienst was born March 28, 1929 in Germantown to William and Rose (Loepker) Hermeling; they preceded her in death.

She married Eugene “Mickey” Schoendienst on June 28, 1950 at St. Cecilia Church in Bartelso; he preceded her in death on November 15, 2006.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Martha Book; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Lawrence Book, Andrew “Ducks” Schoendienst, Loretta Billhartz, Victor Billhartz, Julius “Charlie” Schoendienst, Elmer “Yonner” Schoendienst, Vera Schoendienst, and Mary Schoendienst.

Surviving are brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Albert “Red” Schoendienst of St. Louis, MO, Joseph (Irene) Schoendienst of St. Charles, MO, Vera Schoendienst of Maryville, Stella Jeffries of New Baden, and Laveta Schoendienst of St. Louis, MO.

Toots formerly worked at the Wee Walker Shoe Factory in Carlyle and for Brueggemann Draperies in Bartelso.

She was a member of St. Boniface Church and Altar Sodality in Germantown.

Toots was an avid golfer and card player.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 11:00 AM at St. Boniface Church in Germantown with Fr. James Buerster officiating. Interment will follow in St. Boniface Cemetery, Germantown.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 28, 2012 from 9:00-10:45 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Germantown.

Eric J. Drees

.Eric J. Drees, 37, of Breese, died Friday, July 20, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Highland.

Mr. Drees was born March 23, 1975 in Belleville to Dennis and Rita (Korte) Drees; his father survives in Breese and his mother survives in Trenton.

Also surviving is a sister, Cindy Drees of Breese; paternal grandmother, Evelyn (Usselmann) Drees of Trenton; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his dogs, Flash and Roscoe.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Joseph Drees and maternal grandparents, Edmund and Leola (Lohman) Korte.

Eric was a dairy farmer.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese with Fr. Chuck Tuttle officiating. Interment will follow in St. Dominic/St. Augustine Cemetery, Breese.

Dorinda A. “Rinks” Bingham

Dorinda A. “Rinks” Bingham, nee Johnson, 88, of Breese, entered into rest on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at her residence.

Mrs. Bingham was born October 21, 1923 in Breese to Edward and Margaret (Deien) Johnson; they preceded her in death.

She married Julian Bingham on October 11, 1944 at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese; he preceded her in death on September 11, 1993.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by brothers, Elmer Johnson, Henry Johnson, Herman Johnson, Arthur Johnson and wife Viola, and Vernon Johnson and wife Kitty; and sisters, Lillian Marian and husband George, Antoinette McLaughlin and husband John, and Blanche Riess and husband Glen.

Surviving are her children, John (Jane) Bingham of Breese, Julia (Jeff) Ridder of Winter Springs, FL, and David (Terrie) Bingham of Carlyle; 3 grandchildren, Jill (Darius) Johnson, Joel (Deborah) Bingham, and Timothy (Hope) Bruns; 3 great-grandchildren, Brandon and Karlei Bingham and Mollie Johnson; step-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dorinda was a homemaker and a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at 1:00 PM at St. Dominic Church in Breese with Fr. Chuck Tuttle officiating. Interment will follow in St. Dominic/St. Augustine Cemetery, Breese.
