Christine M. Heckelbeck, 65, of Breese, died Thursday, June 7, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese.

Ms. Heckelbeck was born June 25, 1946 in Gary, IN to Edward and Alice (Grigiski) Heckelbeck; they preceded her in death.

Surviving is a brother, Joseph Heckelbeck of Breese; a nephew, Aaron Heckelbeck of Breese; and cousins, Mary Lou Robert, Lane Robert, Brad Robert, and Rodney Robert all of Posey.

Christine retired as an office manager for a doctor’s office in Orlando, FL and she was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Carlyle.

Funeral Prayers will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 9, 2012 at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese with Fr. George Mauck officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Carlyle.

Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 AM Saturday, June 9, 2012 at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese.

Dennis A. Tebbe, 55, of St. Rose, died Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in Creve Coeur, MO.

Mr. Tebbe was born October 24, 1956 in Highland to Arnold and Janeth (Essenpreis) Tebbe; they preceded him in death.

He was also preceded in death by his brother, Roger Tebbe.

Surviving are his siblings, Connie (Robert) Knebel of Highland, Donna (Dennis) Essig of Round Lake, Eileen (Thomas) Reinacher of Grantfork, Doris (friend Glen) Tebbe of Maryville, Leonard Tebbe of St. Rose, Nancy (Chuck) Harris of Chicago, Ronald (Wendy) Tebbe of Highland, Gary Tebbe of St. Rose, Carol (Karl) Fife of Chicago, and Sharon Tebbe of Franklin, TN; 6 nieces and nephews; and 6 great-nieces and great-nephews.

Dennis was self-employed and did farm equipment repair. He was a member of St. Rose Church and Men’s Sodality.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, June 8, 2012 at 11:00 AM at St. Rose Church in St. Rose with Fr. Edward Schaefer officiating. Interment will follow in St. Rose Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 7, 2012 from 4:00-8:00 PM and again on Friday, June 8, 2012 from 9:00-10:30 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese.

Marie R. Micheel, nee Ribbing, 85, of Germantown, died Friday, June 1, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese.

. Mrs. Micheel was born December 11, 1926 in St. Rose to John and Mary (Henrichs) Ribbing; they preceded her in death.

Also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sharon Lynn Hemker; brothers, Arnold Ribbing, Ray Ribbing, Ralph Ribbing; sisters, Johanna Wolters, Helen Holtgrave; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Marcellus Potthast, August Timmermann, Mary Helen Ribbing Cletus Wolters, Edwin “Hoppie” Holtgrave, Leon Micheel, Tom and Dorothy Micheel, Paul and Viola Micheel, Franklin Kennett.

She married Roger Micheel on August 25, 1952 at St. Peter’s Cathedral in Belleville; he survives in Germantown.

Also surviving is a daughter, Carol (Bob) Hemker of Bartelso; 4 grandchildren, Chris (Gary “Art”) Luebbers, Kevin (Shelly) Hemker, Travis (Jeanna) Hemker, Nikki Hemker; 9 great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Brynne, Ava, and Ashlynn Luebbers, Dakota, Olivia, Victoria, and Isabella Hemker, and Logan Reed; sisters, Agnes (Marcellus “Popeye”) Korte of St. Rose, Eleanor Potthast of Pierron, Betty (Bob) Usselmann of Aviston, Anna Timmermann of St. Rose; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Louise Ribbing of Highland, Virginia Kennett of New Baden, Lillian (Clayton) Emery of Sunrise, FL.

Marie retired from the packing line at Arrow Group Industries in Breese and was a member of St. Boniface Church in Germantown

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at 10:00 AM at St. Boniface Church in Germantown with Fr. James Buerster officiating. Interment will follow in St. Boniface Cemetery, Germantown.

Visitation will be Monday, June 4, 2012 from 4:00-8:00 PM and again on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 from 8:00-9:45 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Germantown.

Leander J. “Lindy” Horstmann, 85, of Damiansville, died Monday, May 21, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese.

Mr. Horstmann was born September 12, 1926 in Damiansville to Henry C. and Helen (Olliges) Horstmann; they preceded him in death.

Also preceded in death by sisters, Loretta Heimann and Honora Heimann; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Hermann and Eugenia (Beckmann) Brandmeyer; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Joseph Heimann, Louis Heimann, Helen Horstmann, Virginia Horstmann, and Ralph “Rudy” Brandmeyer.

He married Florence Horstmann on May 2, 1950 at St. Damian’s Catholic Church in Damiansville; she survives in Damiansville.

Also surviving are his children, Norman (Rosann) Horstmann, Stephen (Cheetah) Horstmann, Sharon (Garry) Kalmer, Shirley (Dave) Albers, Ron Horstmann all of Damiansville, Nancy Horstmann of Portland, OR, Deb (Sean) Howard of Las Vegas, NV, and Lynn Horstmann of Trenton; 18 grandchildren, Meghann (Emmett) Talkington, Justin Horstmann, Britt (Matt) Reisch, Kelly (Phillip) Moss, Jared (Tara) Horstmann, Cole (Andrea) Horstmann, Travis Kalmer, Alex Kalmer, Sara (Scott) Rensing, Brian Albers, Keith Albers, Kayla Albers, Dane (special friend Chyrisse Renegarbe) Horstmann, Riley Horstmann, Luke Horstmann, Robert Howard, Spencer Howard, and Scarlett Catanzaro; 10 great-grandchildren, Jaxx Talkington, Alden, Owen, and Bennett Moss, Kannon and Alivia Reisch, Brant Horstmann, Kaela Rensing, Ellie Hostmeyer, and Drake Rensing; a sister, Irene Horstmann of Damiansville; brothers, Clarence (special friend Margaret Pollmann) Horstmann of Beckemeyer and Elmer Horstmann of Bartelso; sisters-in law and brother-in-law, Patricia Brandmeyer of Albers and Dolores (Herman) Fauke of Carlyle; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lindy retired after 26 years as the Bookstore Manager at Kaskaskia College in Centralia. Prior to working at the college, he was a self employed carpenter and was the owner and operator of Horstmann’s Store in Damiansville. He enjoyed golfing, camping, taking long drives, and especially spending time with his family.

He was a member of St. Damian’s Catholic Church, Holy Name Society, and Choir, was the 1st President of the Damiansville Chamber of Commerce, was the first Mayor of the Village of Damiansville, and was a longtime softball coach.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 11:00 am at St. Damian’s Catholic Church in Damiansville with Fr. Jack Joyce officiating. Interment will follow in St. Damian’s Cemetery, Damiansville.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 22, 2012 from 4:00-8:00 pm and again on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 from 8:00-10:15 am at the Moss Funeral Home in Germantown.

Memorials can be made to St. Damian’s Catholic Church building fund or to the Alzheimer’s Association and will be received at the funeral home.

Pauline Marie Wyatt

Pauline Marie Wyatt, 95, of White Hall, died Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Highland Healthcare Center.

Mrs. Wyatt was born August 13, 1916 in Riverton to Roscoe and Marie Edna (Oliver) Highfill; they preceded her in death.

She married George Edward Wyatt on February 2, 1939 in Bowling Green, MO; he preceded her in death on November 16, 1976.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Vera Emmons and brothers, Eugene and Weldon Highfill.

Surviving are her children, Neil (Vida) Wyatt of Summerfield, Keith (Julie) Wyatt of Las Vegas, NV and Janet (Scott) Reeves of New York, NY; 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Jovett of Minnesota.

Pauline worked as a telephone operator for Illinois Bell before and during World War II and was a homemaker.

She was a member of West Gate Baptist Church in Trenton and a former member of the First Baptist Church in White Hall.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton with Rev. Michael May officiating. Interment will follow in White Hall Cemetery, White Hall, IL

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 22, 2012 from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton.
