Rose M. Kreke

Rose M. Kreke, nee Mueller, 74 of Bartelso, died Saturday, May 11, 2013 at her home.

Mrs. Kreke was born April 19, 1939 in Bartelso to Joseph and Mary (Jansen) Mueller; they preceded her in death.

She married Frederick “Fred” Kreke on June 13, 1959 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Bartelso; he preceded her in death on January 1, 2013.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Theresa Kreke; a sister, Sr. Agnes Mueller, ACS; brothers, Joseph Mueller, Leonard Mueller, Marcel “Bill” Mueller, and Paul Mueller; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Loretta Mueller, Teresa Mueller, Frank “Bud” Kreke, Veronica Kreke, Catherine and Martin Sutterlin, Margaret and Frank Aug, Agnes Kreke, and Victor Pingsterhaus,

Surviving are her children, Roy (Karen) Kreke of Germantown, Amy Ritter of Aviston, and Roland (Robyn) Kreke of Bartelso; 10 grandchildren, Nathan and Tom Huegen, Gina (Brett) Benhoff, Chris Kreke, Rodney and Kerry Ritter, Ben, Joe, David, and Maria Kreke; sisters, Sr. Mary Ann Mueller, ASC of Ruma and Leona (Leo) Beckmann of Carlyle; a brother, John (Mary) Mueller of Highland; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Mary Mueller of Bartelso, Henry “Hank” (Dolores “Blondie”) Kreke of Bartelso, Joseph Kreke of Bartelso, Laurie Pingsterhaus of Germantown, and Ceil Kreke of Bartelso.

Rose retired after 30+ years as the secretary at Bartelso Elementary. She was an avid bowler and loved to quilt.

She was a member of St. Cecilia Church and Altar Sodality in Bartelso, Young at Heart Club, Catholic Holy Family Society, a very active member and Past President of the St. Joseph’s Hospital Auxiliary, and a former 4H Leader and Cub Scout Den Mother.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at 2:00 PM at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Bartelso with Fr. Henry Fischer and Fr. James Buerster officiating. Interment will follow in St. Cecilia Cemetery, Bartelso.

Visitation will be Monday, May 13, 2013 from 4:00-8:00 PM and again on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 from 11:00 AM-1:30 PM at the Moss Funeral Home in Germantown.

Memorials can be made to the St. Joseph’s Hospital Lights for Scholarship or to the donor’s choice and will be received at the funeral home.

Audrey M. Kraeger

Audrey M. Kraeger, nee Gunn, 85 of Germantown, died Monday, May 6, 2013 at her residence.

Mrs. Kraeger was born July 21, 1927 in St. Louis, MO to Howard B. and Helen (Pierce) Gunn; they preceded her in death.

She married Herbert Kraeger on May 31, 1946 in St. Louis, MO.; he preceded her in death on October 26, 1995.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by sisters, Ann May and Jean Kraelman.

Surviving are her children, Nancy C. Kraeger, Rick (Nancy A.) Kraeger, and Kathy (Thomas) Santel all of Germantown; 4 grandchildren, Eric (Kelly) Kraeger, Shelly (Ryan) Kohrmann, Mike (fiancée Theresa) Santel, and Jeff Santel; 4 great-grandchildren, Keegan and Lana Kraeger, Lane and Hayden Kohrmann.

Audrey was a homemaker and enjoyed the Clinton County Humane Society.

Friends may call at the Moss Funeral Home in Germantown from 5:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, May 9, 2013.

Memorial Services will be Thursday, May 9, 2013 at 7:00 PM at the Moss Funeral Home in Germantown with Rev. Cari Faus officiating.

Memorials can be made to Family Hospice or to the Clinton County Humane Society and will be received at the funeral home.
