Joetta R. VonHatten 91 of Aviston died Sunday July 31, 2016 at St. Joseph hospital in Breese.

She was born September 17, 1924 in Breese to Joseph and Louise (Lutz) Heldorfer: they preceded her in death.

She married Wilbert “Bill” VonHatten June 5, 1946 at St. Felicitas Catholic Church in Beaver Prairie and he preceded her in death February 3, 2003. Also preceded in death by her sons Billy Joe VonHatten, Eric VonHatten, daughter Marlene Engel, granddaughter Nicole Engel, sisters and brothers-in-law Cora and Frank Warnecke, Alvina and Robert “Bud VonAlst, Reva and Joe Dumstorff, father-in-law and mother-in-law Bernard and Louisa (Woltering) VonHatten, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Adolph VonHatten, Urban and Gladys VonHatten, Mary Ann Borgelt, Elmer and Margaret VonHatten, Ben Grapperhaus.

Surviving are her children Carol (Don) Engel of Phoenix, AZ, Diane (Stan) Rakers of Aviston, Gerard “Gary” (Sharon) VonHatten of Breese

Joetta was a homemaker, she loved spending time with and the company of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved baking cakes and cooking, quilting, playing cards and scrabble.

Funeral mass of Christian burial will be Thursday August 4, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church, Aviston. Fr. Daniel Friedman presiding. Interment St. Dominic-St. Augustine Cemetery, Breese

Visitation will be held Wednesday August 3, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday August 4 from 8:00 to 9: 30 a.m. at the Moss Funereal home in Breese.

Memorials can be made to the donor’s choice and will be received at the funeral home.

Daughters of Isabella will hold a prayer service at 7:00 Wednesday at the funeral home

Eileen Mannhard 92 of Trenton died Sunday July 31, 2016 at St. Elizabeth hospital in Belleville.

She was born December 25, 1923 in Grantfork to Adolph “Ed” and Emma (Kirstein) Landolt: they preceded her in death.

Also preceded in death by her husband Paul Mannhard March 18, 2010, whom she married November 25, 1943 at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Grantfork. A son-in-law Scott Wernle, brothers and sisters-in-law Alvin and Justine Landolt, Elmer and Pauline Landolt, sisters and brothers-in-law Verna and Elmer Frisse, Marie and Fred Reinacher, Shirley and Walter Strohmeier, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Sr. Johnilda Mannhard PHJC, Irene and Ted Zurliene, Louis and Marcella Mannhard, Maurice and Vera Mannhard, Floyd Kirstein.

Surviving are her children Diane Mannhard of Trenton, Carole (Ken) Cramer of Ashley, James (Cathy) Mannhard of Highland, Linda Wernle of Grantfork.

Grandchildren Jacob and Jared Wernle, Nicholas Mannhard.

Sister Ruby Willeford of Pierron.

Sister-n-law Rita Kirsten of Marion, TX.

Mrs. Mannhard was owner of Mannhard Hardware in Trenton. She enjoyed her time with her grandchildren, gardening and bird watching.

Visitation will be Tuesday August 2, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday August 3, 2016 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton.

Terry L. Winter 61 of St. Louis, MO and formerly of Germantown, died Wednesday July 20, 2016 at his residence.

He was born July 10, 1955 in Breese to Ruth (Pille) Winter sand the late Louis Winter, his mother survives in Breese.

Also surviving are brothers Randy (Kim) Winter of Highland, Tim (Chris) Winer of Germantown.

Nephews and niece Tim (Gina) Winter, Dan (Friend Ashley Tebbe) Winter, Tricia (Christopher) Kohrmann, Phillip Bell.

Great nephews and nieces, Julia and Lucas Winter, Adison Kohrmann, Emma Bell

Uncles Cletus Schroeder and Don Hintz.

Many cousins and wonderful friends and neighbors in St. Louis.

Terry retired in 2011 as a Special Education Teacher in the Roxanna School District, and currently teaching part time at Highland High School. He also taught and practiced yoga.

Member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in St. Louis, MO and Lafayette Square Restoration Committee.

Memorial service will be held on Thursday July 28, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Germantown. Fr. James Buerster presiding.

Family will greet relatives and friend from 9:00 to mass time at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown.

Family ask memorials be made to Mater Die High School, St. Boniface Catholic Church or Layfette Square Restoration in Terry’s memory in place of other gifts of sympathy, and will be received at the memorial service or through Moss Funeral Home in Germantown.
