Alvina C. Kruse, nee Hagen, age 99 of Breese, born May 11, 1916, a daughter of the late Henry and Rose, nee Holtgrave, Hagen, died Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Aviston Countryside Manor.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Ralph Kruse on July 3, 1982. Also preceded in death by her father-in-law Frank Kruse, mother-in-law Catherine Poelker and husband George Poelker, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Marcella and Marcellus Rolfingsmeier, Wilbert and Josephine Kruse, Dorothy and Frank Meyer, George and Rita Poelker, Alfred Poelker, Charles Schadegg and Esther Luebbers.

Surviving are her sons, Don Kruse of Breese and Larry (Barb) Kruse of Carlyle;
3 grandchildren, Amber (Ryan) Hempen, Jill (Chris) Burke, and Kyle Kruse;
5 great-grandchildren, Reese and Brock Hempen, Ava, Isabel, and Vivian Burke;
and sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Florence (Lavern) Ilges and Mary Schadegg of Breese.

Alvina was a homemaker, she loved time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan, she also enjoyed knitting and cross stich.

Member of St. Dominic Catholic Church and Altar Sodality, Breese American Legion Post 252 Auxiliary, Breese Senior Citizens, and Honorary member of the St. Joseph’s Hospital Auxiliary.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, March 28, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese with Fr. Patrick Peter and Deacon Linus Klostermann officiating. Interment St. Dominic/St. Augustine Cemetery in Breese. St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary will have an honor guard at the funeral mass.

Visitation will be Monday, March 28, 2016 from 8:00-9:45 a.m. at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese.

Memorials may be made to St. Dominic Church or St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary and will be received at the funeral home.

Breese legion Auxiliary members will hold services on Monday march 28, at 900 am at the funeral home.

Charles A. “Chuck” Terry, age 51 of West Lebanon, IN and formerly of Lebanon, IL, born July 10, 1964 in Belleville, IL, a son of Patricia, nee Howard, Terry of Lebanon, IL and the late Allen Terry, died Sunday, March 20, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospital in Williamsport, IN.

In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Terry.

Surviving are his children, Catarina (Kasey) Thompson of San Diego, CA, Cody Terry of Lebanon, IL, Cheyenne Terry and William Terry of Westville, IL and Dakota Terry of Indianola, IL; 1 step-grandchild, Gavin Long; and a brother, John Terry of Lawton, OK.

Chuck served 2 years with the United States Army and continued with the Illinois National Guard, serving in Desert Storm. He currently worked in Security at the Veterans Administration Illiana Health Care System in Danville, IL and formerly worked for the Lebanon Police Department and McKendree University Security. Chuck was also a past volunteer firefighter for the Lebanon Emerald Mound Fire Protection District.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton with Rev. Paul Hooks officiating. Interment will be in Mascoutah Cemetery at a later date.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 24, 2016 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton.

Memorials may be made to the family and will be received at the funeral home.

The Lebanon Emerald Mound Fire Department will visit the funeral home at 6:00 p.m. Thursday evening.

Rosemary C. Winkeler 85 of Germantown died Sunday March 20, 2016 at St. Joseph Hospital in Breese.

She was born August 16, 1930 in Germantown to George and Frances (Heidemann) Pille. They preceded her in death.

She married Ervin P. Winkeler April 28, 1953 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown and he preceded her in death April 18, 2005.

Also preceded in death by a brother Richard Pille, sisters Mildred Dollard, Dolores “Peppy” Schroeder, Joan Hintz, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Virginia Pille, Robert Dollard, Lou Winter, Greg and Helen Winkeler, Norbert and Betty Winkeler, Rosalind Sautmann, Lucille Vandeloo.

Surviving are her sons Ken “Erv” Winkeler and Tom Winkeler both of Germantown. A granddaughter Nicole Winkeler. A sister Ruth Winter of Breese, brothers-in-law Cletus “Buddy” Schroeder, Donald Hintz both of Germantown, Don Vandeloo and Ted Sautmann both of Carlyle.

Rosemary worked at St. Anthony’s Hospital in St. Louis, MO, and Wee Walker Shoe Company in Carlyle. She also ran an in home day care for over 30 years. She loved playing bingo with many of her neighborhood friends.

Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be Wednesday March 23, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown, Fr. James Buerster and Deacon Rich Bagby officiating. Interment St. Boniface Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday March 23, from 9:00 to 11:00 am at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown.

Family request memorials be made to the choice of the donor in place of flowers and other gifts and will be received at the church or through Moss Funeral Home in Germantown who is handling the arrangements.

Cecilia A. “Celia” Kreke, nee Hilmes, age 91 of Beaver Prairie, died Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese.

She was born August 14, 1924 in Wade Twp., to Bernard and Mary, nee Fuhler, Hilmes: they preceded her in death.

She married Clarence Kreke on September 24, 1947 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Beckemeyer and he preceded her in death January 23, 1996.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by brothers, John and Edward Hilmes; and sisters, Elizabeth Schroeder, Clara Mann, and Rose Deiters.

Surviving are her children, Loretta Kreke of Beaver Prairie, Marilyn Kreke of Beckemeyer, and Dennis (Roberta) Kreke of Carlyle; 2 grandchildren, Joann Liu and Gary (Shannon) Kreke; 3 great grandchildren, Zachary, Alex and Cole Kreke.

Celia was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting and sewing.

She was a member of St. Felicitas Catholic Church and Ladies Sodality, and Beckemeyer American Legion Post 1227 Auxiliary.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, March 18, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Felicitas Catholic Church in Beaver Prairie with Fr. Chuck Tuttle and Deacon Bob Lippert officiating. Interment will follow in St. Felicitas Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, March 18, 2016 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at St. Felicitas Catholic Church in Beaver Prairie.

Beckemeyer Legion Auxiliary members will hold services at 10:00 am at the church.

Memorials can be made to Carlyle Health Care Center Activity Fund or HSHS Hospice and will be received through Moss Funeral home in Breese or at the church.

Audie Mae Williams, nee Tate, age 95, of Trenton, born July 27, 1920 in McNary Co., TN, a daughter of the late Fletcher and Nora, nee Plunk, Tate, died Monday, March 7, 2016 at Lebanon Care Center in Lebanon.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband William B. Williams, whom she married February 9, 1946 in Hernando, MS and he died May 1, 2000; a daughter, Paula Davis; a son, Michael Williams; and a great-grandson, Caleb Williams.

Surviving is a son, Richard (Diane) Williams of Trenton; a daughter-in-law, Cindy Williams of Florence, MS; 7 grandchildren, Dawna (Paul) Smith, Alan Norton, Billy (Christy) Williams, Christine Krause, Robert (Wendy) Bolbach, Angela Bolbach, and Paul (Stacey) Williams; 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Tina Gillam of Memphis, TN; and a sister-in-law, Mary Bess of Bethel Springs, TN.

Audie was a homemaker and loved gardening, planting flowers, fishing, sewing, and spending time with her family.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton with Pastor Jerry Dooley officiating. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights.

Visitation will be Friday, March 11, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and again on Saturday, March 12, 2016 from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton.
