Russell A. Ritzheimer

Russell A. Ritzheimer, 75, of Trenton, died Monday, August 25, 2014 at his residence.

Mr. Ritzheimer was born January 18, 1939 in Trenton to Oscar and Clara (Haas) Ritzheimer; they preceded him in death.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by daughters, Connie Ritzheimer and Tracy Ritzheimer; a son, Rodney Ritzheimer; brothers, Richard Ritzheimer and Raymond Ritzheimer; sisters-in-law, Joanne Ritzheimer, Doris Ritzheimer, and Barb Rakers; and brothers-in-law, Loren Holzinger and Roger Rakers.

He married Sis Rakers on August 22, 1959 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Trenton; she survives in Trenton.

Also surviving are his children, Randy (Ashley) Ritzheimer of Trenton, Wendy Schrage of Colorado Springs, CO, and Jeff (Jeannie) Ritzheimer of Austin, TX; 6 grandchildren, Sheldon (Mike) Pagano, Reid Ritzheimer, Amanda (Chuck) Klausmeier, Julie (Chuck) Doolin, Simone Ritzheimer, and Celeste Ritzheimer; 3 great-grandchildren, Hayden and Hunter Klausmeier, and Kane Doolin; his siblings, Emma Lou Holzinger of Highland, Roger (Katie) Ritzheimer of Breese, and Ralph (Bonnie) Ritzheimer of Breese; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Albin Rakers of Montgomery City, MO, Tom (Sharon) Rakers of Trenton, Arlene (Jim) Booker of Powhatan, VA, Lester (Nancy) Rakers of Trenton, Sharon (Ron) Gerstner of Trenton, and Gerri (Glen) Knoephlein of Montgomery City, MO.

Russell was a veteran of the United States Navy and he retired from fuel maintenance for the United States Government, operated R & R Landscaping for over 20 years, and was a former co-owner of the Trenton House Restaurant.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Trenton, Trenton Park Boosters, and a former member of the Trenton Nut House Club.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 30, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Trenton.

Memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Trenton with Rev. Mike Rucker officiating.

Memorials can be made to the Trenton Park Boosters and will be received at the church of through Moss Funeral Home in Trenton who is in charge of the arrangements.

Rita B. Lampert

Rita B. Lampert, 77, of Breese, died August 14, 2014 at Countryside Manor in Aviston.

Mrs. Lampert was born September 22, 1936 in Shawneetown, IL to Charles and Jewell (Vineyard) Williams; they preceded her in death.

She married Henry “Hank” Lampert on January 16, 1954 in Shawneetown, IL; he preceded her in death on October 8, 1998.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a grandson, Jacob Heldermann; and a brother-in-law, James Lampert.

Surviving are her children, Mark Lampert of Aviston and Lee Heldermann of Evansville, IN; 2 grandchildren, Brennan Lampert and Kirsten Heldermann; siblings, Robert Walker of New York, Peggy (Larry) Jennings of Moberly, MO, Betty Darlene (Jerry) Oakes of Huntington, IL, and Rick (Wilma) Walker of Shawneetown, IL; a brother-in-law, Albert Lampert of San Jose, CA; and a sister-in-law, Brenda Joiner of Paducah, KY.

Rita was a homemaker and of the Christian Faith.

Funeral Services will be Monday, August 18, 2014 at 10:00 am at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese with Rev. Gretchen Sterrett officiating. Interment will follow in Ellwood Cemetery, Breese.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 17, 2014 from 2:00-5:00 pm and again on Monday, August 18, 2014 from 9:00-10:00 am at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese.

Memorials can be made to the donor’s choice and will be received at the funeral home.

Nelson J. Haas

Nelson J. Haas, 90, of Trenton, died Monday, August 11, 2014 at Countryside Manor in Aviston.

Mr. Haas was born May 26, 1924 in Trenton, IL to William and Laura (Reinbold) Haas; they preceded him in death.

He married Sylvia Ketterer on April 18, 1950 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Aviston; she preceded him in death on August 25, 2007.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Haas; sisters, Marie Hobbs and Irene Bray; and brothers-in-law, Clifford Bray and Robert Thole.

Surviving is a son, Dennis (Sheryl) Haas of South Amana, IA; a granddaughter, Stacy; a sister-in-law, Florence Thole of Aviston; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.

Nelson retired as the Manager of Trenton Co-op after 47 years and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and Men’s Sodality, Trenton Senior Citizens, and Trenton Sportsman Club.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 10:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church in Trenton with Fr. Joseph Rascher officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Trenton.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 13, 2014 from 4:00-8:00 pm and again on Thursday, August 14, 2014 from 8:00-9:45 am at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton.

Memorials can be made to the Western Clinton County Senior Services or St. Mary Church and will be received at the funeral home.

Dorothy Tebbe

Dorothy J. Tebbe, nee Benhoff, 86, of Breese, died Friday, August 8, 2014 at her residence.

Mrs. Tebbe was born October 2, 1927 in Breese to Anthony and Veronica (Hoh) Benhoff; they preceded her in death.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by brothers, Leonard Benhoff and Sylvester Benhoff; a sister, Marcella “Sally” Reiner; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Marie Benhoff, Frank Reiner, Leona and Al Bruns.

She married Eugene Tebbe on October 2, 1951 and he survives in Breese.

Also surviving are her children, Eugene (Annette) Tebbe of Breese and Marilyn (friend Ben Hall) Tebbe of Mattoon; 4 grandchildren, Jeremy (fiancée Stacey Brammeier) Tebbe, Emily Tebbe, Jared (friend Brooke Kniepmann) Tebbe, and Valerie Tebbe; a brother, Anthony “Tony” (Aggie) Benhoff of Breese and Mary Ann (Don) Schmitz of Carlyle.

Dorothy was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, quilting, playing cards, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and Altar Sodality.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at 11:00 am at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown with Fr. James Buerster and Deacon Rich Bagby officiating. Interment will follow in St. Boniface Cemetery, Germantown.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 12, 2014 from 4:00-8:00 pm and again on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 from 9:00-10:45 am at the Moss Funeral Home in Germantown.
